To submit poetry, short fiction, essays, line art, or other work to Bellowing Ark, send to the address at left. (Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.) Poetry of any length is considered. ("Hesperides," a poem by Jon Jech appearing in the May/June issue is 1000 lines!) Short fiction may be any length up to 80,000 words. Novels are considered by invitation only. We ask that material submitted to Bellowing Ark be carefully presented, printed on white 8½ x 11" paper. Poetry should be single spaced, one poem per page; prose should be double-spaced. If you use a dot-matrix printer please make sure the print is dark enough to be legible: we read hundreds of submissions every month and eyestrain is always a danger. Note: we do not consider simultaneous submissions. Payment: on publication, the contributor will receive two copies of the issue in which his or her work appears. Sample copies—and it never hurts to read a magazine to see if your work fits— can be ordered for $4.00, postpaid, from the address at left.
